Class 9 – tricky thesaurus work
To help the children build upon their own vocabulary and also to ensure our kindness and positivity rocks didn’t all say the same thing 😅, we introduced a little vocabulary task using a thesaurus. The children had to use a thesaurus to look up our popular words and write down as many synonyms they could find for each. It was tricky but they definitely did a good job! Well done guys!

Class 9 – what Crew means to us…
Class 9 were faced with the question this week to try a work out what crew means to them. To help us with this task we went on a little tour around the school to see if we can see Crew in action. This included children and staff, full classes, groups and just passing children and adults in the corridor. We were all really impressed at what the children in class 9 were able to pick up on around their school and how amazingly confident they were at talking about crew in various places around school.
What definitely stood out to the children in our school is that they saw so much kindness, sharing, encouragement, love and respect from the children to each other, children to staff and staff to children, that these words were definitely the main focus of our feedback and discussion after in our debrief circle. We also posted some shout out certificates on our school shout-out boards for some of the groups that really stood out to us! Amazing work guys! Really was lovely to hear you talk so beautifully about crew 🥰.

Class 9 – Just hooping around
Our first team building session this week was pass the hoop! The children were brilliant in this and really understood and took on board our discussions around what good team work should look like, sound like and feel like. Well done guys this was definitely a great success!

Year 2 100% attendance winners!!!

What a fantastic achievement for these year 2 superstars in class 8! They have been at school every single morning and afternoon of this school year! That is absolutely amazing and the children and their families should be so proud. We know that children can be poorly but everyone has to agree that having 100% attendance is definitely worth celebrating! Well done guys…you deserve your amazon voucher, certificate and prize! Well done!

Year 3 Transition! 🚀
What a great first impression from the new Year 3s. They have been kind, funny and eager to learn about space and more specifically Yuri Gagarin – the first man to go into space. The new Y3s have worked hard on understanding his life and have also created some artwork based on planets!
