Reading Family Learning
Thank you to those that attended our reading family learning session this afternoon! It was lovely to see everyone enjoying the activities and getting creative! Another huge well done to our reading ambassadors for leading the event and showing lots of courage!

This morning, we enjoyed a lovely visit to our library to spend some time enjoying our books!
A Pitch for our future – let’s show our support!
Trinity Academy are now in the final stages of constructing a bid to the Football Foundation for a new 3G football and rugby training pitch. A similar facility at their school in Blyth, Northumberland opened in 2024 and it is used almost exclusively by junior grassroots sports clubs and community outreach programmes outside of teaching hours. They hope that a 3G pitch here will be equally transformational for children in the local area.
A key component of the bid is for them to demonstrate that there is considerable support from local grassroots sports clubs and the local community – evidenced through a Public Consultation which runs until 17th October.
They need our support in getting this news out, and to ask for us to participate in a short online questionnaire? It takes just three minutes to complete.

Class 8: being theologians!
In RE today, we read a new Hindu story together. It was about a lady who wanted to meet God but she told different people to ‘go away’. It turned out that God was in all of those people- God was the kindness inside of them. We took a photo to show ways that we thought you could show kindness to others.
You could give hugs, hold hands, show respect, blow kisses, smile or give a love heart sign.
What a great story!
Class 7 – PE
Class 7 loved practicing their skills in PE of chest passes and bounce passes. We even put our skills to use in a game where we had to try and get points for knocking the object off the cone.
Class 8: dribbling skills
The children were practising their ball skills today. They were working as a team to complete drills and to try and hit a target. Great lesson class 8!

Class 4: Chair Drumming Sensory Break!
This afternoon, Class 4 enjoyed a fantastic sensory break following a focused maths session. We took part in a lively chair drumming activity, exploring volume, rhythm, and beat. The children had a wonderful time drumming along to the upbeat tune of Golden – a fun and engaging way to round off the day!
