Well done to our Y5/6 girls who in our only second legacy competition won the girls football tournament yesterday at Owston Park Primary. Shout out to Niah too for winning player of the tournament. Well done girls!
Please ensure all reading books are returned to school tomorrow.
Thank you
In crew today we were focusing on British values and looking at another religion Judaism.
The children read different stories and were able to discuss and share what they had read in their groups. They also were able to make some connections and similarities to other regions that they have learnt too. Well done guys!
Congratulations to all of our winners today! It was so hot in assembly but you sat beautifully and sang amazingly! We had stewardship winners, howl point winners, healthy eating superstars, maths certificates and reading certificates too. On top of that I need to say congratulations to Crew Schon for a fantastic win again for the weekly attendance…you are all doing so well!
A huge well done to my football superstars at Club Thorne who won their tournament and came away with a superb trophy! Well done guys x
Year 4 are having a wonderful time in the sunshine at their camp out!
Please can all costumes for The Wizard of Oz be in school by Tuesday 24th June. This is so the children can have a full rehearsal in club on Tuesday before they perform to school next Thursday.
Thank you so much for your continued support with this – it’s greatly appreciated!

In reading this week they were developing their own individual vocabulary knowledge. Focussing on a chapter from our class text and pulling out words unfamiliar to them. Then, using a dictionary, finding and defining the words they chose.
To show their understanding had improved, they then had to use these words in their own independent sentences.
Great work! It was lovely to see how you dictionary skills and speed has also improved this year too!
