The clubs brochure and forms are almost ready for the autumn term! However, we are now ready to announce that the production this year will be……….
Just like last year when we prepared for the Wizard of Oz, the children will need to sign up to all 3 clubs on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
After the successes of Wizard of Oz, we can’t wait to see where this production takes us this year! We also hope to gain some additional cast members this year!
Watch out for the clubs lists!
Another smashing day in our new class! Smores and singing in Camp Green Top with Mr Kershaw, more craft activities with our wonderful Young Learning Coaches – who are already proving invaluable – and our proud postcard winners, Rueben and Lennox. More of the same tomorrow kids? Don’t mind if I do!
On Thursday 4th September, all KS1 children are invited to come to school dressed as a favourite superhero of their choice. We have been learning about heroes in the local community so they may wish to consider these, such as police officers and nurses, or they may opt for their favourite fictional superhero instead. Costumes do not have to be bought – be creative with the things you already have at home!
Parents and carers are then invited to join us on the Key Stage 1 playground from 1.30pm where you will be able to enjoy a range of superhero themed activities (trainers a must, capes and masks optional!)
We do hope you will join us and we can’t wait to see you all then.

Wow, we’ve had great fun today during our second day back! We started crew with a funny crew activity where some children showed amazing resilience! We then thought about our character traits and made bracelets to celebrate our teachers. This afternoon we had fun playing team games, even getting a little bit wet in the process!
Thank you for your food bank donations so far! Year 5 really appreciate it! If anyone else would like to donate, please fetch into school first thing in the morning! Thank you!
This week, Class 7 are working on being kinder members in their community and thinking what that could mean. So… we thought it would be great to make key rings that will be handed out on Friday.
We also want to visit a local elderly home and have made our own cards for them, which we cannot wait to drop off!
We have had a great week so far and there is still lots of fun to be had!
Class 8 have been busy making cards, which we will be delivering to a local care home this week, we have made keyrings to spread kindness, which will be handed out in Thorne on Friday and we have been litter picking today trying to make our community a nicer place to live.
We have also loved playing games, singing and colouring as well this week too! I am loving getting to know the children in class 8
