Well done to this week’s Star Readers! Keep up the great work.
It was fantastic to see all their happy little faces after hearing why they had received their certificates this week. Well done all. Keep being super stars!
Here are last week’s out of this world winners for year 3 and 4. There were some gorgeous words said about all out winners this week and we are so proud of them all. Well done and keep working hard!
We had lots of fun today investigating which materials make either conductors or insulators. We learnt that metal objects such as scissors, paperclips and tin foil make excellent conductors within our electrical circuits. Unfortunately, wood and plastic not so much! They were insulators and stopped the electricity flowing through the circuit and the bulb didn’t light up.
Class 11 have also completed some active reading learning today, whereby we learnt all about conductors and insulators! This was a great way to build background knowledge for our next learning of CS1, but also improve on our learning skills!
Today, Class 11 have been creating more circuits in preparation for their results section of their scientific report. They have included a switch this time to see how it would affect the flow of electricity in a simple series circuit. See below images of how Class 11 managed to get the circuits working!
In English this morning we have been building background knowledge about electricity in preparation for our science investigation. We have been reading all about conductors, insulators, energy sources and many other interesting things that will help us to carry out the test.
Another great session with Coach Kyle today. We learned more about teamwork, dribbling and controlling the ball. Please remember to send OUTDOOR PE kit for our next session in 2 weeks time.
Well done to Martha and Reggie, our postcard winners today. Kepp up the great work guys!
