Class 7’s little scientists

Our Martha showed amazing leadership skills on Friday when she led groups of children to complete an investigation into our fingerprints as part of her class councillor duties. Think I need to up my game or she will be taking over my job!

Red Nose Day Competition

Well done to everyone who designed a t-shirt at home for this years Red Nose day.

It was great to see everyone’s designs that they did in class as well. Well done to all of our crew winners.

Red Nose Day in Class 14

We had a great day celebrating Red Nose Day. We started off with a treasure hunt where we looked at the different Red Noses throughout the years from the very first one in 1988.

Then, we had a go at designing our own red noses.

Thank you to everyone for your donations and coming dressed in red to show your support.

What a fun day class 9 have had today!

It was great to see you all in red and joining in with all of the crafts and experiments we have had happening. Above are some links to the key stage 1 children singing their phase song too, which felt extra special today. They are little snippets of our community crew meeting and if you haven’t been invited in yet, please don’t worry because we can’t wait to see you soon!

Class 9 fantastic science experiments

We have been learning all about super scientists this week and how they can help us. We did a few of our own science experiments this week and had lots of fun doing so! I hope you like our photos!!!

The first science experiment was all about how to get our own fingerprints. We only used a pencil, sellotape and a piece of paper but it was fantastic to see how clear the finger prints were!

Our next science investigation involved sound. We used paper cups and string to make our own telephones and discussed how the sound travelled along the string through vibrations.

And our final scientific experiment that we have done today involves skittles! We had a go at making our own rainbow using water and skittles and the children loved it!

What a fantastic science week class 9 have had in between doing their assessments. Super work guys!
