We are so sorry to announce that we have had to postpone our year 1 and 2 sports day this afternoon due to the wet weather. We really didn’t want to do this and can only apologise for any inconvenience caused but we feel that the field is too wet and we are solely thinking of the children’s safety.
We will let you know the new date ASAP. Thank you for understanding. Key stage 1 team.
A huge congratulations to our amazing Year 4 footballers who took part in the Snaith Cluster Schools Football Tournament this week!
We were proud to have two Green Top teams representing our school — and both teams gave it their absolute all. Their hard work, teamwork, and determination really paid off, as both Green Top 1 and Green Top 2 reached the finals in their respective groups.
Green Top 1 showed incredible resilience and skill, battling through to a nail-biting final that ended in a penalty shootout. The team held their nerve and came out victorious — well done on your win!
Green Top 2 also put in a fantastic performance, narrowly missing out on the top spot in a very close final. Your efforts, attitude, and sportsmanship were outstanding, and you should be very proud of yourselves.
It was a brilliant evening full of energy, excitement, and positive spirit. A great time was had by all, and the experience was one to remember for every player involved. Thank you to everyone who supported and cheered the teams on — and a special thank you to Mr Overson for supporting this event and making it possible.
Well done, Green Top Year 4 — you did us proud!
Today, our Year 5 Crews headed down to the XP Outdoors workshop for an exciting hands-on session in tool work. Working together, they learned how to safely split logs using axes and practiced their whittling techniques with knives. It was a brilliant opportunity to build confidence, and show respect for the tools — all while having fun outdoors!

Yet another super-proud teacher moment in Crew Rodgers this morning as we marked our weekly Magic Maths quiz. The test comprises of five addition and three 10 times table equations which need to be completed within 30 seconds to help improve the speed of the children’s calculation skills. Although our Crew has made massive improvements to our results since we began the tests last September we have never had everyone achieving perfect scores…until today that is!
As we marked each equation together the excitement built and built as we realised we were all getting every answer correct and after the final answer was announced the room erupted. The children were jumping around hugging each other and one little boy was heard to say, “Its just like Christmas!”
I couldn’t be prouder of my little maths wizards and the way they celebrated their achievements with their Crew mates!
