Making Roman shields and Roman catapults

Year 3 enjoyed painting their Roman shields in the sunshine this morning ☀️

Afterwards, the children worked collaboratively in groups to create their own Onager catapults before going outside to test them out.

They then tested the catapults to see whose went the furthest distance and who could hit the targets.

Well done everyone – you were little superstars!

Crew Pearson/ Good Catapults

Today the children had a lovely morning making catapults as part of their Roman expedition, they all worked collaboratively together and then went outside into the sunshine to try them. Well done everyone!!! 😊

Class 10 Family Learning! 🏛️

Firstly, I would like to say a massive thank you to adults for coming out in this heat and getting stuck right into the Roman sword making. I am sure the children really appreciate it as well.

We had a lot of fun making the weaponry and we will put it to good use in our battle tomorrow!

Class 8’s fantastic artwork

Class 8 have created this fantastic piece of artwork today that I think looks amazing in my classroom! They have worked together to draw their own section of the picture of Martin Luther King Jnr. There was beautiful colouring by everyone today too…well done!
