The children were working really well together to spot the mistakes in the punctuation task. They were finding capital letters and full stops, as well as correcting any errors. Great job guys!

We have been listening to Hindu stories in RE and the children have been doing freeze frames to retell the story. Then they made masks of the main characters and acted out the key points of the story.

It was lovely to see these guys using the glitter to practise the sounds that we have been learning in our phonics sessions.

Great job everyone.

We have been using our robot friend to help us to hear the different sounds when we are trying to read our words. We all loved hoe funny the robot sounded and we will keep getting him out to play to help us with our reading.

Well done everyone.
Thanks

This week we are focusing on words that end in the suffixes -able and -ible. Watch the video below to remind yourself the spelling pattern and rules.
Today we paid our first visit to the library and made a poster showing the protocols we need to follow while using our beautiful new reading space. We can’t wait for our next visit!

A super well done to Penny for her stunning Roald Dahl Day poster!

Well done to Arnie who has written, illustrated and self-published his very own book ‘Trillionaire Boy’. Such a super read and clearly lot of time and effort spent-super Craftsmanship & Quality!

It has been brilliant to listen to the children read this week. They have really settled into our routines and they are all trying so hard!
We have also had some great maths lessons where the children have shown me what they know about place value and numbers up to 100. Have a lovely weekend and see you all on Monday! X x
This week we have begun teaching phonics in Reception. The children have been really calm and engaged and produced some lovely letter formation of our first taught sounds. They are such grown up boys and girls now.

Well done everyone!
