Thank you so much to all the parents, carers, grandparents and Aunties who joined us today. We braved the cold weather and enjoyed a day feeding the animals, crafting chicks and going on tractor rides. Here are a few photos from our day.

This afternoon, we have been treated to some lovely reading from Arnie, George, Eden and William. Great reading lads!
This week, we have been investigating how distance can affect the size of a shadow. We measured the length of the shadow as the light source moved further away before plotting it onto a bar chart.
Here are this week’s spellings for you to practise: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1U_p107HggGte31HbcaAzJVAOF0-3cGr9/view?usp=sharing
Crew Cooper enjoyed a story read by Mavis today! Well done Mavis. I am so impressed at how fluent and confident you have become with your reading this year!
Congratulations to Addison and Eli who have reached the next stage in their swimming classes! We are all super proud of you! We love to celebrate your out of school achievements and see what you have been up to!
A huge well done to these 3 superstars who have all been working hard at their after school clubs. We have a yellow and purple belt now at martial arts club! We also have Martha who is working her way through her levels at gymnastics!
I love to hear about these achievements and I am so proud of you all…well done!
Do you know how shadows are formed?
Use a torch or a light to create some of your own shadows. Take photographs and share them with your Crew Leader.
What is the strangest shadow you can form? Practice making different shapes using your light source.
SAVE THE DATE!!!!!
Class 6 Presentation of learning will take place on Thursday 27th March at 2pm. Children will be showcasing their skills of cutting, chopping, peeling and grating and will be earning their shrinky dink keyring charms in return for showcasing their skills! We can’t wait to show off our new talents and receive our shrinky dink products. We hope you can join us.
Hello! For the next two weeks the children will be doing water safety swimming lessons. For these sessions they will require their normal swimming costumes and a pair of shorts and t-shirts to go over the top. These will be worn in the water so we would also advise a carrier bag as they will hold a lot of water when in their bags for the day and may cause other items to get rather wet.
Can we also kindly remind that sprays and aftershaves/perfumes are not to be used in the changing rooms or brought into school due to allergies and to support children with asthma.
Many thanks, the year 4 team.
