This week we have been learning the following phonemes i/n/m/d. The sounds will be sent out for the children to be practising to recognise the phoneme, say the phoneme and then write the grapheme.
The children are really starting to learn and retain those sounds but will need support to blend those sounds together. Have a go at the green words and the more they hear those sounds being blended the easier it will become.
Thanks

This week, our Crew Champions had the exciting opportunity to spend some extra time with Mr. Pickles in the music room. They explored a variety of instruments and had an absolute blast! The feedback was unanimous—they came back saying it was awesome!
We all love a good sing song in our Crew but this week in maths we were singing some of our counting songs. 5 little speckled frogs was definitely our show stopping number.
I loved how the children showed such courage in performing our maths songs in front of their friends. What a great session.
Well done singing superstars!!

We have been using our robot friend to help us to hear the different sounds when we are trying to read our words. We all loved hoe funny the robot sounded and we will keep getting him out to play to help us with our reading.
Well done everyone.
Thanks

We had a great active maths session yesterday. We had to hunt around the classroom for pictures with different amounts of animals on them. We then had to find them on our hunt sheet and try and write the number all by ourselves.
We really enjoyed this and we worked so hard to find all of the numbers.
Well done everyone!

It has been a bit of a strange week weather wise this week but we did not let that bother us. There is still so much to do and explore even in the rain.
We had the best time, even if we did get a bit soggy!

This week in counting collection we used our counting collection boxes all the way up to number 10. We worked collaboratively with our friends and we even began to mark make to represent our numbers.
Well done everyone, great teamwork!!
I can’t wait for our next session.

We are excited to announce that auditions for this year’s school production will be taking place via video submission.
Your child will be bringing home a script for the role or roles they wish to audition for. To take part, they should record a short video of themselves reading for that part (or parts). If they would also like to include singing the relevant song, this can be found on YouTube.
Once recorded, please email your child’s audition video(s) to [email protected] no later than 3rd October.
This approach allows every child the opportunity to audition in a relaxed environment and ensures we can give each submission the time and attention it deserves.
We look forward to seeing the children’s talents shine and are excited to begin casting our production. Thank you in advance for your support in helping your child prepare their audition.
Kind regards,
The Sherlock and Cinders Crew
Today, Class 7 have been looking at stories with meanings. We looked into the Hindu story of Ganesha goes to a party! We liked how it taught us that kindness is better than boasting and we even acted out the story!
