Today we have talked about keeping ourselves safe on Bonfire Night. The children shared some fantastic ideas about how they will keep safe.
βWear gloves and donβt touch the fireworksβ
βStay with Mummy and Daddyβ
βKeep my doggy insideβ
βStand back far away from the bonfire and fireworksβ
We then made bonfire pictures and used chalk outside to create fireworks.
A huge thank you to The Friends of Green Top for a fabulous Neon disco this afternoon. We all had a great time!

Wow! What a wonderful day weβve had dancing! Thank you to all the parents and family members who joined us today and taking part with enthusiasm and flare! We hope you enjoyed it as much as we all did! A big thank you Natalie from The Education Group for teaching us some awesome Bollywood moves!
The children had an extra special day in Nursery yesterday making spooky artwork, mixing potions, collaging and creating Autumn inspired art using brown, green, yellow and orange paint.
The children loved getting a little messy today. Firstly, we cut open the pumpkins and looked what was inside. We then explored what we could create when we dipped the pumpkins in paint. We talked about textures, patterns, marks and prints. Gorgeous work everybody and beautiful collaborative art!
These children really impressed the Nursery grown ups today by carefully planning, negotiating, compromising and building towers and castles in harmony.
Well done! Wonderful team work and collaboration!

The children loved the pumpkin sensory tray yesterday and came up with some super words to describe what they felt and saw.
βIt squelchy!β
βItβs slimy!β
βIβs orange and gooey!β
