Hi All,
Here is the menu and prices for the Fish and Chip Van for our celebration of learning on Wednesday from 1pm. We hope to see you all there!

We would like to invite all our parents to our celebration of learning next Wednesday the 6th July at 1:00pm. We invite you to join in with our beach day celebration as we finish not only a term of discovering ‘what happens where the sea meets the shore?’ but a year of fantastic learning and growing together.
We ask that all parents arrive at nursery gate for 1pm and enter KS2 field through the small gate from nursery garden. The children will welcome you by kicking off our celebration with a sea side sing along. We will then take part in our time capsule ceremony followed by an afternoon of seaside fun! We ask that following our singing adults are ready to collect their children to take over to the time capsule marked out area. Children will be handed over safely by their adults at this point so that you can enjoy the afternoon together.
We have so much to look forward to including donkey rides, Mr Dan, sand play, photo fun cut outs and ice cream and fish and chips. (Watch this space for prices if you wish to enjoy food and treats in the afternoon!)
If you would like to make a donation towards the donkey rides you can donate in the usual way on parent pay. Thank you in advance.
Our reception sports day will take place next Friday morning on the 8th July. This will be at 9.15am. Parents are invited to watch their children compete in some races on the KS2 field. Please can children arrive at the usual time to register in class and parents can then make their way around to the seated area on the field. Children can wear any comfy clothing or sports wear such as shorts, t-shirt and trainers. Please can children also be provided with a sunhat and suncream.
We look forward to you joining us for the morning!
Look who we celebrated in our phase assembly today! Here are our Out of this World and Howl Point winners. keep up the great work! You are all setting a wonderful example to the rest of your crew.

Today we held our first graduation event for the Doncaster Stories Reading Challenge. Here are our first 5 children to complete their reading maps. We are super proud of them all for engaging so well with their reading at home.
There is still time to complete your reading challenge! We will hold a graduation event every Tuesday for those children who have completed their maps. Keep Reading!

Happy Fathers Day from all the children in reception.

A huge thank you to Mr Doyle who made out children in reception two new balance scales and tens frames for our outdoor learning spaces. They look fantastic!

This week we have been working with tangrams and using triangle and squares to make different shapes and pictures. The children were amazing at using their shape knowledge and problem solving skills to complete challenges.

This week the children have amazed us with their reading and writing in our expedition lessons. Their use of phonics to read sentences and draw pictures to show their understanding was lovely to see and their writing about what they could see in Billy’s Bucket (this weeks text) was beautiful. See pictures below if you want to be amazed.

What a busy week the children had in reception last week celebrating both World Environment day and World Ocean day! The children works super hard learning about how to look after the world and it’s oceans and what we can do to make sure we are keeping the planet safe and clean for others and the worlds animals. The children really impressed us with all the different activities they got involved in over the week including making posters, writing about looking after the oceans and the planet and trying lots of new exciting activity stations around the classroom like ice trays for arctic animals, rescuing sea turtles trapped in rubbish and of course their amazing costumes for World Ocean day! Please see the video below of some of their fabulous Learning.
