Dress up day and Family learning – KS1!

This Friday (6.9.24), it is our dress up day to hook the children into their Expedition. They are welcome to come as anything medieval! They could be kings, queens, dragons or jesters – whatever links to castles, but please don’t worry about buying a costume!

On Tuesday 15th October it is the Family learning for Year 1. This will begin at 1.30 in the afternoon.

For Year 2, your family learning is on Thursday 17th October. This will again be at 1.30 in the afternoon.

We look forward to seeing you all and the amazing costumes!

Class 8’s crew fun

We worked in teams this morning to pass the hoop around our team circles without breaking hands. They all worked very well together! Well done superstars!

See you tomorrow for our exciting colour run!!!

Class 8 visit

Class 8 made some beautiful cards and drinks coasters this morning. They had positive message and bright, colourful pictures of them, which looked fantastic!

In the afternoon, we walked around to Parklands care home in Thorne and hand delivered them to the residents there.

The children also bravely sang their crew songs, which ended with a large round of applause.

You are making me very proud already class 8, well done!

Class 8 – Green Top Camp

Today, the children also took part in XP outdoors activities, which we all loved! We crafted some dream catchers using branches and string, read stories in the camping tents and even toasted marshmallows or biscuits! We even finished with singing a camp song around the fire! Today was a brilliant day and we have had none stop fun…see you all tomorrow! Mrs Shaw

Class 8 – giving back to the community!

Class 8 have had a fabulous afternoon of giving back to the community. The children yesterday designed their own keyring and today we handed them out to adults, just to make them smile! They had quotes on, such as ‘be happy’ and ‘you are amazing’ and the children were so happy to be doing something to make others happy. On the way back from our walk, we stopped at Peel Hill and completed some litter picking! What a great afternoon!

KS1 Dress Up Day

To hook our children into our new expedition we will be having a Medieval dress up day Friday 6th September. We invite children to dress up for a special day of medieval fun! If your child does not have an outfit please do not worry! They can wear their own party clothes and we will ensure they make some accessories to compliment their outfit (crowns fit for a king/queen/prince/princess etc).

We can’t wait to see you all dressed up!
