Thank you so much to all of the parents and carers who braved the freezing cold weather this morning. The children and our ks1 team really did appreciate it. They thoroughly enjoyed it and I am so proud of how brave they were to stand in front of you all and speak about their learning.
I think you will agree that their poems were fantastic!!!

Key stage 1 poetry jam update!
Hopefully in the morning at 9am, the weather permitting, year 1 and 2 children will perform their celebration of learning to you outside on the playground. Unfortunately due to covid restrictions and guidance from the Dfe we won’t be able to have you all in the hall at the same time.
After you have dropped the children off at their classrooms at 8.45, we will walk you all around to the gazebo on the ks2 playground where you can stand and socially distance. Please wear a mask if you are able.
We are hoping to then take the children on a walk around the school with any placards that they have brought in from home.
We look forward to seeing you tomorrow.

Make the change.. make the placard
Let’s get creative! Have a go at creating a placard to make a difference on our march.
Remember.. PICK UP LITTER, USE THE BINS!!
Entries to be in no later than Thursday morning to be used in our march to show our community the positive changes we can make to reduce litter, clean up our streets and use the bins! Here is our first beautiful entry, created by the talented Aurora from class 5!

KS1 Card Making Club
Take a look at your little ‘monsters’ enjoying crafting their scary face cards in our Thursday card making club.
Awesome job guys!
Phase certificate winners from KS1
Congratulations to all our certificate winners in our phase assembly this morning. It is lovely to get together and celebrate all your achievements and your behaviour is second to none.
We are all very proud of you.
Aiden did his baking homework last week but took it to a new extreme…he made a feast that he then shared with year 2.
Whilst baking with mum they did experiments with edible slime and colour changing jelly.
Year 2 were very grateful for your efforts
Thank you x x
We were given a selection of new books yesterday and the children were excited to read one. They chose this as they were intrigued by the front cover.
They then rated it out of 5…some loved it and some children wanted more information and detail.
We love our reading crew 💚

Cohen is fantastic at football and I see this every day at school on the playground. This weekend he scored 6 goals for his team and we are so proud of him at school. Well done Cohen!
We would like to invite parents and carers to join KS1 in a celebration of our Autumn term expedition … What will I do to be a Superhero in my Community?
On Thursday 2nd December, we will be serving tea and coffee in the hall from 8.45am before sharing our learning with you. We will then invite you to join us on a march to promote litter picking in the local area, an important message that the children in KS1 feel particularly passionate about sharing with everyone.
We hope you will be able to join us on the morning of Thursday 2nd December.
Kind regards,
everyone in the KS1 team 🙂
The children worked hard last week to create a Banksy style piece of art that they then critiqued and improved.
I think they look amazing and the children have really embraced the graffiti style.
A few still to finish but I am so impressed. Well done class 8
