Class 8 – Green Top Camp

Today, the children also took part in XP outdoors activities, which we all loved! We crafted some dream catchers using branches and string, read stories in the camping tents and even toasted marshmallows or biscuits! We even finished with singing a camp song around the fire! Today was a brilliant day and we have had none stop fun…see you all tomorrow! Mrs Shaw

Class 8 – giving back to the community!

Class 8 have had a fabulous afternoon of giving back to the community. The children yesterday designed their own keyring and today we handed them out to adults, just to make them smile! They had quotes on, such as ‘be happy’ and ‘you are amazing’ and the children were so happy to be doing something to make others happy. On the way back from our walk, we stopped at Peel Hill and completed some litter picking! What a great afternoon!

KS1 Dress Up Day

To hook our children into our new expedition we will be having a Medieval dress up day Friday 6th September. We invite children to dress up for a special day of medieval fun! If your child does not have an outfit please do not worry! They can wear their own party clothes and we will ensure they make some accessories to compliment their outfit (crowns fit for a king/queen/prince/princess etc).

We can’t wait to see you all dressed up!

Example costumes – King, Queen, Prince, Princess, Knight, Dragon

Year 2 POL

We’ve had a lovely presentation of learning this morning showcasing our learning from this term. The children spoke confidently when sharing their learning and did some beautiful singing.

Thank you to all of our parents and carers that came this morning to support us. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

The year 2 team!

Year 2 Presentation of learning 9.7.24

On Tuesday 9th July Year 2 children would like to invite their grown-ups to school to see their presentation of learning for our Expedition ‘Diverse Doncaster – Where do I belong?’. The hall will be open from 8:30am for grown-up to get a hot drink whilst the children are being registered in their classes. Children will then come to the hall to share their learning with you.

We will begin at 9 o clock and it will last for about 10 or 15 minutes

We hope you can make it!

Class 8 proud passage presentations

Year 2 have been working hard over the last couple of weeks to get their presentations drafted, completed and typed onto their individual presentation slides. They have created their own avatars, looked and reflected on their HOWLs and thought about their favourite experiences from their time in ks1. They have presented them so well and I am immensely proud of their confidence!

Thank you so much to everyone that has managed to be a part of this process!
