Class 8 reading lesson

Class 8 have been busy this week with our reading. In our expedition lessons we have been doing some research on castle types as well as labelling parts of a castle. In reading lessons, we have been reading ‘Chicken Little’ and learning some reading and comprehension skills. Keep up with the super reading guys!

Key stage 1 crew assembly

This was our first key stage 1 crew assembly and it was amazing. The children had fantastic manners and listened beautifully throughout, as well as doing some great singing.

We handed out certificates for fabulous stewards and HOWL point winners. Well done to all of you guys, what a super start to the year!
We also celebrated some fantastic home learning that the children had been doing, including a taekwondo certificate!
Also, a massive well done to Crew Shaw for 100% attendance last week. I am so proud!
Have a lovely weekend x x

Class 8 dancing superstar

I just wanted to say a huge well done to Aurelia for doing so well in her dancing competition at the weekend. Aurelia was a little bit nervous while she was on stage but she showed true resilience and came back and did her best. We are all very proud of you Aurelia!

Class 8 expedition

Class 8 have learnt the main parts of a castle today. They read some information sheets, looked at diagrams and watched a video before applying it to a picture of a castle to create a labelled diagram. There were some really great examples today, well done!

year 2 PE

Year 2 have continued to practise their throwing and catching skills today, making it harder by standing on one leg or catching with one hand. The children love their PE lessons and we can see improvement already. Well done year 2

Year 2 G Block

Class 7 and 8 have been showing off their IT knowledge. We have been learning about what a computer can be used for, what is and isn’t Information Technology, how all jobs require different IT equipment and how it is used in public places. I am so proud of you all and absolutely love these sessions with you.

Great work from everyone, keep it up!

Year 2 super stars!

I wanted to share the fact that these superstars who took part in a football tournament last weekend in Howden got to the final and won on a penalty shoot out 3-2.

They are all such a fabulous group of boys and were so pleased to be sharing their plate with everyone in key stage 1!

Well done boys, we are all so proud of you!
