Absolutely amazed by the amount of recall and retrieval skills the children got from this activity and then the amount of discussion which came from it after was brilliant. They will also use their new knowledge in English and apply it to their letter writing when they pretend to be Phileas Fogg!
The children have been so amazing in completing these amazing sketches of Big Ben, which they now know is a famous landmark and a human feature.
Just look at how well they have all done, so proud guys.
To help further decorate our classroom for our new exploration we’ve been designing and making peg planes.
The children blew me away with their enthusiasm and how they worked together to investigate and build on each others ideas and responses. Well done guys you were fabulous as always!
Today Year 3 and 4 were visited by Mayor Houlbrook. Our learning for this term is based around localities and where better to start than Thorne and Moorends. So we were delighted that the Mayor was willing to come in and discuss our local area and future developments as well as his role.
Thanks to the kitchen and lunchtime team for making our lunchtime so festive and lovely today
Congratulations to these two … Been working very hard on their times tables on TT! Keep going!
These two deserve an extra special mention from the year 3 4 crew! They have been checking books out left right and centre and are both (jointly) the first to read and return 10 books! Incredible guys. Super proud of you both! You will receive your prize very soon … It’s in the post!
Everyone else keep checking out books, the next 3 to return 10 will also receive a prize!
Look at all our year 3 4 children who have already been busy checking out and returning their lending library books! I’m so impressed by you all, keep going to fill up your library cards!!
