We’ve had a lovely afternoon in our cocoon today making hedgehogs from clay and dry spaghetti. We’ve loved seeing how different they all look and how sensible everyone was at making them.

Well done to our Year 2 superstars for their terrific learning today. They have been busy making great links in their maths learning today focusing on measurements and capacity. Children have been Connecting Connie’s by reading the scales on a thermometer and using < and >.
They’ve also been busy making their owl collages and life cycles. Well done to everyone on making them so unique and different! They are all so fantastic!!
Year 2 learning legends for Tuesday are:
JJ for his awesome owl collage and maths work. He was great at reading the temperatures on the thermometer and comparing them all. What a Connecting Connie!!!
and
Ronnie for her fab owl collage! I love that Ronnie used real eggs on her collage as well as other materials to make it look so realistic. Lots of Light Bulb Leo ideas!!
Well done everyone on today! We are so proud of you all!

A huge thank you to Lewis and Phil for sharing these pictures with us.
They are tracking the progress of this little caterpillar that they have found in their very own garden. How amazing is this? They have promised to keep us updated with how the caterpillar grows. If you look closely, you can already see from one day how much the caterpillar has changed…
Thank you so much boys, this is very exciting!!

Year 2 have worked so hard today on Monday’s maths and expedition learning! Here are just a few photos so that you can see what we’ve been up to…
The children have worked hard to create collages of butterflies and also design a life cycle of a butterfly in a way of their choosing. We love that they have all been so different and creative as well as bright and colourful.
Well done everyone. What a great start to the work. Keep up the hard work!!
Today’s learning legends for Year 2 are… lots of Exploring Eddie’s
Nigella for her wonderful collage of butterfly eggs on a leaf. She’s been such an Exploring Eddie gathering lots of materials to make her collage and it looks fabulous!
and
Rosie for her giant butterfly collage and life cycle of a butterfly. Rosie used all natural materials from her own garden on her collage and it was fab.
and
Freya F for her fab life cycle of a butterfly. Freya was really creative on how she set her life cycle out and made it 3D by including things to stand away from the page making it look really effective.
Super star girls!!
Mrs Faulding and Miss O’Neill x
