In year 3 today, both classes have been getting arty. They have been following a step by step tutorial and been cutting and crafting to create a piece of work inspired by pop art.

Class 7 have been working up a sweat with some ‘on fire’ speech writing and place value work in maths today – they definitely deserved an ice lolly treat to end the week! Well done everyone 🙂

This week, class 7 have been learning about key people and events in black history, such as Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King Jr. and today they look like they have greatly enjoyed reciting his ‘I have a dream’ speech. Well done boys & girls!
Last week, we all had a great time finding out about our new expedition. We completed lots of different activities to immerse our classroom. Have a look what we’ve been up to.
A huge well done & thank you for all the effort made with costumes for our superhero dress-up today – all of the children looked awesome!
Wow! What a fantastic start to our KS1 expedition … What will I do to be a superhero in my community? All of the children looked amazing in their hero dress-up and we ended the day with a protest to parents against litter on our school grounds. Remember – Pick up litter! Use the bins!

Year 3 PE will start next week (14th September). Our PE day is Monday.Â
Children need to come to school in their normal uniform and we will get changed before PE. PE kit needs to be a green or white plain t-shirt and black trousers or shorts. Trainers can be brought to change into.
We will be outside weather permitted.

This afternoon, Crew 3/4 enjoyed watching Horrible Histories – Rotten Romans as part of hook week. We can’t wait to see how the film and the battle ends tomorrow!
Yesterday, year 3 and 4 had a visitor, Roman Ron, who delivered a super workshop with lots of Roman artefacts, replicas and weaponry. He has set our year 3/4 children on the road to being Roman experts by the end of the term!
