Class 13 – TTRockstars! ✖️🟪⬛️

This afternoon we have been working hard on our times tables by accessing TTRockstars! Our class and Miss Knowles’ class are currently in competition to see who can get the most answers correct by the end of the week. All of the class have been working extremely hard to make sure that our class come out on top. Make sure we are practising at home as well – every correct answer counts!

Maths Week Challenge 1

Work together to see how many maths words you can think of for each letter of the alphabet! I’ll let you into a secret … J is a very tricky letter so I’ll be super impressed if anyone thinks of a maths word starting with J!

Please send your responses to [email protected] and / or bring them in to show your teachers!

We can’t wait to see how many words you come up with and who has the most creative words!

Year 4 TTRockstars Battle!

This week, Crew Taylor and Crew Knowles are taking part in a TTRockstars battle!!

Encourage your child to play at home to help their class win! The class with the most correctly answered questions throughout the week will win!

We can’t wait to share the results on Friday!

Geography Club!

We are loving Geography club. This is our 3rd week. So far the children have told me in some discussion activities what they think Geography is about, then the children did some research and had to make a poster answering the question ‘What is Geography?’.

Today, we looked at the Earth and discussed what we think it’s like on the inside, some thought it was all liquid, some thought it might be spongy. We found out that it is actually made in layers and these layers are all made of different things! Here they are making a collage model of their learning this week. And they did a fabulous job! We can’t wait for next week!

Class 13 – Adding Fractions ✏️

In maths today we have been looking at adding fractions with the same denominator. We have worked collaboratively to try and reassemble the tarsia before moving on to our independent tasks. All of the clash smashed it today so why not test them with some questions!

Class 13 – Electricity 💡

In our first case study, we have been investigating different materials. We have been learning about conductors and insulators and seeing which materials allow electricity to flow through them. We established that items that were made out of metal were really good conductors and other items such as wood, plastic and glass were really good insulators.

Year 3/4 Extended Study

Please find the extended study attached the menu for Year 3/4 (previously homework menu).

We are looking forward to seeing all of your hard work! As always, if there is something you want to do that isn’t on the menu please do it anyway! We would love to see!

Don’t forget – keep taking your books home and reading to improve your AR data, and keep practising those times tables!
