Year 3/4 Phase Meeting
Well done to everyone on being our HoWL point winners this week. As always, it’s wonderful to hear all of the lovely shout outs about our wonderful year 3 and 4 crews.
Next week will be our last meeting of the term and we can’t wait to celebrate our attendance winners, accelerated reader winners and overall HoWL point winners. Watch this space!
WORLD WATER DAY!
Yesterday, ‘Tuesday 22nd March’ was World Water Day! So, today in Community Crew, we looked into ways that we can preserve water and how this will help our environment.
We all made a pledge for how we can support the preservation of water and what this might look like in school and at home.
Here’s a short video sharing lots of different ways we can save water.
Fire Safety Talk -Year 4
We discussed good and bad fires, smoke alarms, stop drop and roll, phoning 999 and what to do and what an escape plan is and what it would look like.
All staff have been really impressed by how respectful the children were this afternoon and their involvement and participation. It was great to see what you already knew about this topic and sharing your knowledge with your crew.
Well done everyone.

Assessment Prep!
Yesterday, we worked in pairs to support each other through a practice arithmetic paper. We discussed the key calculations that we should be doing on certain questions in order to find the correct answer. This was such a helpful process for everyone, especially when we are able to pull on each persons strengths and the areas that they feel the most confident in.
We debriefed in a circle by discussing that even though our assessment will have different numbers, the calculations will still be the same. This definitely boosted our confidence ready for our arithmetic assessment!
I’m really proud to see you working as a crew today! Keep it up!

Recording at XP!
What a day we’ve had visiting XP today to record our song for our product.
So so beyond proud of how you’ve all pushed yourselves out of your comfort zone to do this. To perform and sing in front of others is such a brave thing to do and look at you all today. Stood in a recording studio, ready to perform and record our own song, written by YOU!!
We can’t wait for you all to hear our song “Dear World” that we’ve created alongside other primary schools from the XP trust. It’s going to be amazing!!
Won’t be long now until the big reveal!
We’d like to make a shout to…
We are crew!
Lovely to hear lots of shout out’s in our crew check out circle today. I heard a lot being said about working hard and being kind and the reasons behind this.
It’s nice to hear you all being celebrated by each other.
Well done guys! Mrs Faulding x
Academic Crew-SLC
It was gorgeous to sit back and listen to you all share your English learning with each other; discussing the features of each piece and what made it so special. You all did great practising using the script to support your delivery of this reflection too!
I know that your grown ups are going to be blown away by how you’re conducting yourselves during this process! Well done!
