Year 3 and 4: GTGT 2022
Yesterday it was fantastic to see so many talented children perform for us in our phase crew meeting. We were blown away by the efforts and dedication that you all put in to practising and performing your acts.
It’s not an easy thing to get up and perform in front of an audience but you all smashed it and it showed such brilliant character growth for getting up there and having a go!
We are so proud of you!!
**We have voted in our crews today so we will be announcing the Year 3/4 winner tomorrow!**
Watch this space but you definitely all deserve 50 HoWL points for working hard!
Thank you, the year 3/4 team 🙂 x
Year 4: Sports Day!
What a fab morning we had on Monday at our 2022 Sports Day!
Great to see everyone having a go and trying new things that are out of their comfort zones. A true highlight for the staff was hearing the cheers of encouragement from everyone from different crews- you were all so supportive of each other!
A huge well done to Crew Myers on being the overall champs!
You all smashed it and we are so proud of you all!

Staff crew tonight 💚
Staff took part in their own staff crew sports day tonight. We felt exactly the same as some of the children did on sports day, when we were put outside of our comfort zone.
There were some falls, some competitiveness and lots of laughs!
What a great staff crew we have
#greentopcrew
get crew right, you get everything right 💚

Year 3 and 4 Celebration of Learning
It was great to see so many people at our celebration of learning on Tuesday. The children did a great job of sharing their learning from our expedition ‘Why is sugar not so sweet?’
As part of our celebration, we had a competition to guess how many sweets were in the jar. This was to help us raise even more money for our chosen charity – City Hearts. Congratulations to Isla for getting the closest guess of 260! The jar actually had 265 sweets in it!
Crew Faulding: Our D&T Case Study
What a busy couple of weeks we’ve had designing and making our final product.
We’ve loved seeing our fabric design prints come to life. We’ve thought carefully about what would make them successful and fit for purpose and how they would look effective on the top of our jars.
We were proud to stick on our Green Top Goodies stickers and to place our fabrics on top, now to fill them up with our Rice Krispie treats ready to eat over the weekend!
Super proud of you all- they look awesome!!!

Class 11 and 12: Tag Rugby
Year 4 were so lucky enough last week to get a special tag rugby session with Martin. It was really helpful to recap of the fundamental skills of the game and to have some competitive fun as mixed crews.
Year 4: Survival week at Swimming
Clothes on for swimming? What’s all that about?!
Our swimming instructors discussed the shocking statistics for drowning in the UK with us this week and how easily a situation like this can arise, especially in the summer. This week, we were taught the skills to support us and prepare us for if this ever happened.
I was blown away by the sensible answers you all gave as part of the discussion and I felt so much better knowing how much you know about this and seeing how well you did in the water- despite it being ’weird’ having your clothes on in the pool.
Swimming can be fun but it’s also an important life skill!
Well done everyone!
