Yesterday, Crew Ambler took part in a webinar by the WWF on tiger conservation. The children loved seeing the images of the tigers in the wild and learnt lots of interesting facts and information about tigers. Well done Crew Ambler for your awesome listening skills.
On Monday in English, the children worked collaboratively to tell a story just from the images. They had to listen carefully to each others ideas and explain their opinions to their group. We then went on to listen to the story and discuss whether our own ideas had been similar or different to the real plot.

Children from Year 2-5 had a fun-filled time at XP East today as we met up with children who are also digital leaders from across the trust. We began the day with a brilliant tour of XP and XP East before working hard to understand the role of a digital leader, why digital leaders are important and the qualities a digital leader should have. I was blown away by the children’s efforts and collaboration but also the courage they demonstrated to share their ideas in front of a big audience! A great day was had by all and the children will now share their learning with the leadership team at Green Top. Thank you to Mr. Portman and XP for having us for the day…we had a great time!
Well done to Crew Ambler for their first aid lesson this morning. First Aid is a very important life skill and it is nice to see everyone actively engaging in their work. Well done Crew Ambler!

This afternoon in Crew Ambler, we have been looking at the life cycles of animals and why reproduction is important. Shout out to everyone in Crew Ambler for their hard work and collaborative group work!
This morning in Crew Ambler, we hooked ourselves into our new text ‘Can we save the tiger?’ Each group were given different sections of the text and spoke about different animals that needed to be saved. I was blown away with how confident everyone was standing up and speaking in front of others. Well done everyone!
