Jam Jars Needed – Can you help?

We are starting to collect all the resources we need for the year 3/4 product and are running short on jam jars for all the children to have 2 each for their product.

If you have jam or anything in a small glass jar, we would be very grateful if you could bring this to school for us to use when you have finished.

Thank you to those who have already helped the cause and brought some in for us!

Welcome back Crew Myers!

A huge welcome back to Crew Myers – hope you’ve all had a fabulous half term and enjoyed lots of Jubilee Celebrations. We have lots to look forward to this half term so can’t wait for the fun to continue!

Starting this week, we have Austerfield on Tuesday. Just a reminder that children are to be taken to Austerfield from 9 o’clock and we will be there to meet you in the car park!

The forecast is looking brighter tomorrow too so fingers crossed we’ll see plenty of sunshine but please still bring a water proof coat just in case!

Also, we have our trip to Bridlington next week so please can all forms be returned ASAP.

Performing Poetry

It was also great to make links between the poem ‘Dreams of Escape’ and our science case study, discussing changing state.

You’ve all been getting smart today by working collaboratively across two crews! You stars!

Well done!

Mrs Faulding and Miss Myers

We are Scientists! – Crew Myers

Yesterday, we enjoyed our first science experiment of the case study where we investigated the process of solids turning into liquids. I was really impressed with all the scientific vocabulary that was used when writing our predictions and methods! Well done everyone – I wonder what our next investigation will be?

Crew Myers – Roll on the wall!

Yesterday during maths, we worked in groups to recreate a model to support us when completing column multiplication. This has really helped everyone’s accuracy when solving calculations and supported us this afternoon when multiplying 3 numbers. Great collaboration guys these are a fab resource – remember to go back and use these when you need a reminder!
