Crew Spetch – Hook Week Highlights!
Last week, we enjoyed a fabulous Hook Week! We created lots of artwork to immerse our classroom, introduced our new expedition, explored our final product as well as a fab VR Workshop that took us into the solar system and a lovely family learning afternoon. Thank you to all of the adults that were able to join us last week, your final products look beautiful displayed in our classroom!

Y5/6 Family Learning
Please join us for our first Y5/6 family learning session of this year on Thursday 5th September 2pm – 3pm. We can’t wait to welcome you into our new classrooms to enjoy some space themed learning!

Outdoor cinema!
The children are enjoying snacks, popcorn and minions!! What a lovely night we’ve had so far!

Year 5 camp 2024

The children are having an awesome time at their camp! They’ve just finished burgers and hotdogs and are now singing round the campfire! The children have been super and even survived the rain!

Year 5 Acts of Service!
Year 5 spent this morning out and about in the community, litter picking and delivering ‘Thank you’ notes to people who help us! Some of us were extremely lucky to be invited into the Fire Station for a look around! This ties in perfectly with our Transition guiding question “How can our Crew be strengthened by acts of service to others?“…bring on our Campout to end a perfect day!

Crew Spetch – Y5 Transition
We’ve had the best two days getting to know each other and our new crew. We had lots of fun completing some crew activities, learning about the Zones of Regulation and creating characters that linked to each zone, designing and painting kindness zones for our new garden and learning about the British Values and how these links to our Crew and school life. We also enjoyed some reading to adults and creating some artwork ready for our new classroom.
What a fantastic first impression you have all made. I already can’t wait for the first week back!!
