A huge well done to Ellis for winning the privilege of wearing class6’s yellow t shirt this week. So well deserved Ellis. Yellow really suits you!

Come along on Thursday 31st March to help us build a bug hotel sculpture using recycled materials. If you have any materials that you think might be suitable, please feel free to them bring along with you! From 9:15-11am.
Here are some inspirational pictures that we are hoping to recreate with you and your families!
See you then, KS1 team 🙂

WOW!!!!
What can I say? The children’s costumes were some of the best I have seen this year and it was very difficult to pick a winner. We had such fun doing book-based activities and the day was finished perfectly with a wonderful whole school assembly where we got a chance to see all the other fantastic costumes from other year groups.
Thank you so much for all your efforts.

Bobby and Ellis won our Learning Legend postcards today for their outstanding first draft of a letter to our local MP Mr. Fletcher detailing our learning and asking him what can be done about the impact we are having on our world. I can’t wait to see what your final pieces look like after we complete the editing process tomorrow.
Awesome!

A huge well done to Ezra who won our learning legend award today for his outstanding maths work. He re-called his learning to solve number bond to 10 problems and then used this and his place value knowledge to successfully calculate the number bonds to 20. Impressive job smasher.

A huge well done to Tallon who worked extremely hard today to write a beautifully neat fishbone to help him remember the features of a letter. Great job Tallon!

Key stage 1 took part in a webinar last week as part of the Doncaster stories event. We heard the story of Nen and the Lonely Fisherman read by its author Ian Eagleton, and then took part in an interactive art session with the book’s illustrator, James Mayhew. Below are some of the wonderful drawings the children produced.

Lots to celebrate in class 6 from the end of last week….
Deacon and Shae blew me away with their stickability in maths on Thursday and Adam was this weeks recipient of our yellow t shirt.
Keep up the great work kids x
