Crew Knowles: Aspirations Week

We’ve had a lovely first day for Aspirations Week! In crew this morning, we thought about our own aspirations and what we wanted to be when we were older. We had lots of great dreams including a vet, archaeologist and book store owner! This afternoon, we then had a lovely visit from Robyn’s mum who talked all about her career which was really interesting to listen to!

Year 3/4 football tournament! ⚽️

Today, Year 3 and 4 were lucky to be able to visit XP for a tournament against other Trust schools: Norton Juniors and Plover.

The tournament started with a match between both Green Top teams, with a hard fought contest between year 3 and 4. The Year 3 team had a great time, showed lots of resilience and never gave up. They just kept going and scored some beautiful goals. For much of Year 3, this was their first time playing games together, so should be proud of their efforts.

The highlight for Year 3 was their 1-0 win over Plover, with a great move sealing the win. The team defended well and it was great to see a clean sheet being kept!

Year 4 had some hard fought games, winning a number and drawing a couple of others. The game of the tournament was their 4-4 draw, where they never gave up and showed tremendous resilience.

We can’t wait to keep building as teams and improving with more games in the future!

Myself and Mr Taylor really appreciate adults helping out with lifts, we really could not have done it without you.

Thanks once again and enjoy your weekend! 😆

Crew Knowles: Our new student teacher!

Marcus did a wonderful job of leading our starter activity in expedition this week! He used our protocols and ‘cold called’ the children for their responses and he asked lots of great questions to further their learning! He also gave lots of praise! Well done Marcus, you did a fantastic job!

Red Nose Day Challenge

Happy Red Nose Day! It is great to see so many of you dressed in red to show your support today. Thank you for all your generous donations. The school council have one last challenge for you! Over the weekend, we wonder how many different red things you can find.

You could have a look around your house or even venture outside on a walk. Count how many different red things you can find to share with your crew on Monday. You could even take some pictures or draw what you can see.

Crew Knowles: Science Investigation

Jack, our crew councillor, did a wonderful job of leading his crew in a science investigation involving fingerprints! He was so patient and supportive with everyone and did a great job of explaining the task! It was really interesting to see everyone’s finger prints and figure out whether they were made up of loops, arches or whorls! Fantastic work Jack!
