KS2 Sports Day

Don’t forget KS2 sports day will take place on Monday 10th July. The children will be out on the KS2 field from 9am and we will start the races soon after!

Please send your child in their PE kits on sports day along with a water bottle. If the weather is hot, the children may need sun hats and sun cream.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Get Involved In Celebrating Arts Week

To celebrate arts week, we would like as many people as possible to create some artwork linked to the theme of ‘connecting across generations‘. Get together with your family or friends to create a piece of artwork. It can be anything you want! You could create a family portrait, a landscape of somewhere you like to visit or just your favourite picture.

It would be great to see everyone working together to create one piece of artwork. Send any pictures or your final art work to Miss Barnett or email them to [email protected] by Monday 17th July.

Here are some examples if you need some inspiration!

The Golden Mile Grand Total

School council have been busy counting this afternoon to find the total of our Golden Mile. We have raised £77.90! Thank you to everyone who made a donation.

Pyjamarama!

Green Top are celebrating Pyjamarama day on Friday 16th June and we are inviting you all to come to school in your favourite pyjamas!

We would be grateful of a £1 donation and this is to help raise money for Book Trust to ensure all children can enjoy a bed time story!

We can’t wait to spend the day in our pyjamas!

Want a fun way to get children excited about reading? Pyjamarama is a day when children can spend the day in their pyjamas, reading and sharing stories and raising money for BookTrust. |

Y4 swimming next week

Swimming next week is safety and survival week! Your child will need to bring their normal swimming things plus extra clothes. Clothes can be things such as old pyjamas or a normal tshirt and shorts or leggings. Nothing to heavy please so no jean items and no hoodies or onsies.

I would also send an extra plastic bag for the children to put their wet clothes in.

Thank you

Year 4 – Austerfield Day 2

Class 12 had a great second day at Austerfield despite the tiredness!

We spent the morning cooking food and lighting fires. Lots of us were even brave enough to try ‘nettle crisps’ and some enjoyed nettles with chocolate spread! To light the fire, we had to go foraging in the woods to collect leaves, sticks and bark from trees.

During the afternoon, we enjoyed shelter building! To test the shelters, water was thrown on them with everyone inside – it’s safe to say some people got a little bit wet!
