We are just settling down around the camp fire to enjoy toasted marshmallows and then some of Mr Kershaw’s campfire songs. Everyone has enjoyed a great tea of hot dogs, burgers and crisps – shout out to Mr Ambler for being the BBQ king!
What a fantastic day we had at Austerfield today! We spent the day working on our communication skills, team work and building relationships; most importantly we had lots of fun. Check out some of the photos that show the activities we took part in.

This morning, we buddied up with a Year 11 crew at XP school to ask them lots of questions about transitioning to secondary school!
We had great fun this morning with a crew building task that involved transporting water in drain pipes! It was definitely tricky but everyone worked together really well to achieve the end goal! There was lots of great strategising and communication!
Well done to those that achieved 100% attendance during the summer term!
An extra special and huge shout out to Esmae who has 100% attendance for the whole year – WOW! Well done Esmae!!
We’ve had the best two days getting to know each other and our new crew. We had lots of fun completing some crew activities, learning about the Zones of Regulation and creating characters that linked to each zone, designing and painting kindness zones for our new garden and learning about the British Values and how these links to our Crew and school life. We also enjoyed some reading to adults and creating some artwork ready for our new classroom.
What a fantastic first impression you have all made. I already can’t wait for the first week back!!
Today, we have been testing how chocolate can change from a solid to a liquid by applying heat to it!
