There has been so much great homework being done in Class 9 this week. Take a look at some of the examples below.
Millie has been working hard on designing a propaganda poster whilst Myles has been calculating which World War 2 related items he can buy whilst keeping within a budget!
Ruby and Elea have both been working hard on their handwriting this week. Take a look at the quality they have both produced!
William and Jude have both been working hard on their maths this week. William has completed an arithmetic challenge whilst Jude has been working on place value.
Finally, Arnie has been designing his own T-Shirt for our American-themed day. Looks like you’ve done a great job Arnie!
As part of reading week, Class 9 made a visit to Thorne Library to have a look at the wide-range of books they have available! It was good for the children to have a look at new books they hadn’t read before.
Today, Myles brought in his great-great grandfather’s hat who served during the Second World War. He even had the photograph to go with it!
Another wonderful and successful club session today. Creating ‘fun and crazy’ sculptures with nothing but paper. This group are a wonderful creative bunch and worked really hard on their art work today! Very impressive guys, very big well done!
In a creative twist, and having learnt about different shelters used during the Blitz, Arnie has spent some time recently building his very own sort of shelter in the woods. Great effort Arnie!
As part of reading week, Class 9 were lucky enough to have Mr Gerrard come down and read a story to them!
Today, we have spent a lot of time completing our poems that will be used as part of our final product. The children have been editing and improving them before completing a final write up using their best handwriting and presentation!
Please remember to send your child with appropriate XP Outdoors kit suitable for the weather – especially now it is getting colder and wetter! Appropriate footwear is essential as the children spend time in the grassy XP Outdoors area.
