Olivia and Ollie worked hard today giving themselves the challenge of green standard work in their play. They challenged themselves to work out how many different ways to make 5! Well done both of you!
Today the children in reception were busy exploring our guiding question ‘How can I help my body to grow!’ Here are some of our snapshots!
The week beginning 30th January will be ‘Maths Week’ and we will have lots of fun things happening in school to raise the profile of maths.
Below are some dates that you may want to know in advance:
Thursday 2nd February 2pm – 4pm : Maths drop in session
Join us in the hall to play some fun maths games with your child/ren between the times of 2pm and 4pm. Feel free to drop in at anytime between these times. This will be led by the Learning Council so please come along to support.
Friday 3rd February: NSPCC Number dress up day!
On Friday 3rd, we are encouraging the children to dress up in maths and number related outfits to raise money for the NSPCC charity. Suggested donation is £1.
Joshua has been working super hard in his play trying to read ‘red words’ ! “You just have to know them!” Well done Joshua for being a Have a go Henry!
Over the next 3 weeks we are learning all about ourselves and how we grow. Please could you bring in a baby photo of your child for us to use in our learning. We will be using these on Monday. Please bring them with their name written on the back.
Thank you
The Reception Team
The EYFS team and children are delighted to share that we raised a whopping £446 to buy teddy bears for the children at Changing Little Lives in Doncaster.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all of your kindness and generosity in buying biscuits, books and toy tombola tickets. We are over the moon to be able to support such a much needed charity.
Merry Christmas!
The EYFS Team
Well done to these three superstars this week for being out of this world in each of their crews. What an amazing example you are setting to all of your friends and how proud you make us all every single day.
Well done Arlo, Hudson and Bodhi, you are amazing!
