Staffing letter clarification

Dear parent,

You should have been emailed a letter today to outline the staffing arrangements for your children next year. Thanks to those parents who have asked their questions directly rather than speculating – this has enabled me to create the clarity below for all.

  1. All transition activities will be offered as they are currently, through a blended approach of online, virtual activities – with some students accessing the in school provision. The phased return to the school building will only begin for Y2-5 students when the social distancing rules are relaxed to enable this to happen. Key workers will continue to access as they do currently. The 29th June will be the date we begin our online and virtual transition activities.
  2. There have been no changes to provision currently offered and there is no intention for students to access only mornings or afternoons at this stage. However, you will see that there are changes, in afternoons, in the adults who are teaching for some classes, this has been outlined to be as open and transparent as possible and evidence how we are hopeful to support students well being and any gaps in learning through the 5 teachers in a phase approach for core learning.

In the next week or two you will be sent an individualised letter outlining which class and teacher(s) your child has been allocated.

Please do not hesitate to contact school directly with any questions and avoid speculation at this stage, we can only answer questions if we know what they are. As always we will be as open and transparent as we are able to with the information available regarding a phased return. This letter would have gone out with the same information regardless of the Covid-19 pandemic however, the conflicting messages around the Covid-19 response appear to have caused increased questions around the staffing structure.

With Thanks

Mrs Claira Salter.
