A great start to Y6!

The new Crew Mumby made a great start to life in Y6 with a settled and productive two days in their new classroom. During the transition days, we learnt about the moon landing and reasons why Michael Collins (the forgotten astronaut) demonstrated an incredible crew mentality! Have a great summer- I’m looking forward to next year already !

Year 5 Celebration Day

We have had a great day which started off with our crew breakfast this morning. We then completed an A-Z challenge of everything we have learnt this year before enjoying some PE time this afternoon.

This week, we also recorded our crew song that we learnt right back in August during transitions week! It was amazing to see how many of the children could remember it. We hope you enjoy it!

Miss Barnett’s Class Celebration!

What a year it has been! As we reflected on our year today, we have been reminded of all the fantastic things we have achieved this year. From a space lecture to a picnic in the park it has been fantastic to make so many memories and be able to share them with you. I am so proud of each and every one of you and the progress you have made, not only in your learning, but also in how much you have matured this year. I know you will all be amazing as you move into year 6!! Thank you for a fantastic year.

New to Y1 superstars!

I have been truly blown away by how wonderfully the children have settled in to their new class over the last two days. They have worked so hard to produce work for our pen portrait on Valentina Tereshkova as part of the school-wide history week celebrations and have stuck to the HoWLs and classroom rules that they helped to produce. I hope you all have a fantastic summer and I can’t wait to see you again when you begin year one for real at the end of August.

Great job guys!

Products at the picnic!

Wow, thank you to all of those people that have bought wristbands to support Year 3/4’s expedition! Thanks to your sales, we have been able to donate another £60 to British Red Cross making our total £305!!

We will be selling them tomorrow and will also be out at the picnic on Friday selling our wristbands and postcards to raise even more money! Postcards are £1 each or 5 for £3. Wristbands are £1.

Thank you!

Crew Spetch – Yr5 Transition

Wow, what a lovely two days I’ve had getting to know my new Crew! We’ve enjoyed lots of history, researching the moon landing and the ‘Forgotten Astronaut’ and made some fab balloon rockets which we enjoyed launching this afternoon! I’ve been blown away by how well everyone has worked together as a crew and I can’t wait to see all you can achieve next year as Crew Spetch!!
