A reminder that Year 5 and 6’s Presentation of Learning takes place next week. The children are going to present their learning from this expedition as a science lecture which will take place at Trinity Academy in their lecture theatre.
The children have been working incredibly hard in their groups for the past couple of weeks to create their lecture slides and scripts and we can’t wait for you to see it!
Year 5 – Wednesday 4th December @5.30pm
Year 6 – Thursday 5th December @5.30pm
We are really looking forward to welcoming you to our Christmas Bingo Night tomorrow and have lots of tasty treats waiting to be won. There are a small number of tickets available if you haven’t managed to get one yet and would still like to come along and join in the fun.
Doors open 5:30pm Eyes down 6pm
The bingo cards for each game will be on sale on the night and there will be 6 different coloured games during the evening with lots of chocolate/sweet themed prizes. Bingo cards will be sold in booklets of 6 coloured strips for £5. Each coloured strip consists of 6 bingo cards. You can choose whether you want to buy a booklet each or buy a booklet and split it between your family. If you prefer you can buy 6 individual coloured game cards for £1.
Will you be brave enough to play a full strip or even more than one? If you have young children attending then you may decide to split a strip into individual cards so they can enjoy playing too.
Refreshments will be on sale before and in between games. It is cash only so it would be much appreciated if you could bring change on the night to make it easier when purchasing bingo strips and refreshments.
We will also have our ‘guess the name of the elf’ for 50p ago!
Crew Knowles have been working hard preparing for their science lecture on Thursday 5th December. They are looking forward to sharing their learning with you!
In English this week, we have been looking at what features make a good diary entry. We then worked collaboratively to have a go at writing a good diary entry before reading them out to the rest of the class!
Some photos from our recent stewardship roles. Litter picking across the school site!
Check out some of the fabulous prizes that will be on offer at Christmas bingo on Thursday night!
There are still some tickets available; if you are interested then please send in money and Year 6 will be round in crew to sell the tickets.
Good morning everyone.
Please would you check your child’s belongings. One of the children in Miss Rodgers’ class has lost his PE bag containing kit and trainers. It is a black drawstring bag with a green reflective stripe. We think perhaps someone may have taken it home by accident. In addition to this we do collect a number of un-named items on a weekly basis that are not claimed. If you notice that your child has missing items, please ask their class teacher ASAP and we will arrange for you to check through our lost property box. All unclaimed items will be sent to a recycling centre at the end of each term.
Thank you and have a great weekend
The KS1 crew x
