Today we welcomed parents, grandparents and friends to Class 10, to take part in our family learning experience.
Our artistic and creative skills were tested with the task of designing a volcano collage, but we were totally up for the challenge!
With tissue paper, glue and glitter a plenty we worked together on our marvellous creations. It was fascinating to see how different groups approached the same task – some created a cross-section of a volcano, some used screwed up tissue paper lava and others went for the dramatic glittery explosions. But regardless of the technique, the results were stunning.
At the end of the afternoon, we had the chance to have a first attempt at a volcano eruption with the play-doh volcanoes we have been making! Check out the video!
The learning alien characteristics were on display all afternoon, with everyone being a Have-a-Go Henry! There were lots of Connecting Connies and it goes without saying that the whole class and our visitors were Motivated Moes!
Well done everyone!
