Our children have spent the week leading up to Armistice day learning about the reason we wear the red poppy and have produced these stunning examples to display in our corridors.
A beautiful and fitting tribute to the fallen.

Please find attached a Google Form for you to add your nominations for our awards event. You can nominate anyone from the local area who has gone above and beyond for the people of our community, but we are especially interested in getting nominations for those among us who give their time on a voluntary basis.
Please fill in the form and return it before Thursday 9th November. We are looking forward to hearing all the stories of our unsung heroes
Thanks for your support
This morning the children have been learning about Remembrance Day and sketching their own poppies.
Great work from everyone! 😊
A huge well done to Pandora who created a beautiful piece of art which links to our Expedition! The time, effort and patience taken is phenomenal!
We would like to invite all Year 1 parents to a phonics drop in session on Tuesday 14th November at 3-4pm in the school hall. During this session you can learn more about how your child learns phonics in school, explore some of our phonics activities with your child and ask any questions you may have.
We hope you can make it!
Caleb and Aurelia have done some Amazing home learning. Caleb drew a colorful picture of the great fire of London and was able to share with our crew what happened, why it happened and where it happened! Super! Aurelia has been practicing her numbers and counting forwards, making sure her work is neat and tidy! Brilliant! 20 HOWL points each!
This week in phonics we are consolidating all of the sounds that we have learned so far.
These are s/a/t/p/i/n/m/d/g/o/c/ck/e/u/r.
If you can continue practising the sounds with your children using the homework sheets that we have been giving out each Friday that would be helpful.
If you would like to have a go at the shared reading book for this week, the link is below.
Hello All,
We hope you have enjoyed the half term break and are feeling rested ready for our return to school tomorrow morning.
A reminder that Nursery and Reception family learning will run throughout the day on Wednesday 1st November in the school hall. Before half term, your child’s class teacher will have given you a slip with your child’s designated time for their dance session. The sessions are as follows:
9.30 am – 10.15 am – Some of Nursery
10.15 am – 11 am – Some of Reception
1pm – 1.45pm – Remainder of Reception
1.45 pm – 2.30 pm – Remainder of Nursery
One parent/carer is invited to attend to join the children for Diwali/Bollywood dancing. Please come to the main school entrance 5 minutes prior to your designated time to sign in and ensure a prompt start.
If you haven’t already done so, please pay £5 on your child’s Parent Pay which covers the cost for yourself and your child to take part in what will be a very exciting and memorable family learning. School uniform is not required on Wednesday and we encourage children and adults to dress in comfortable clothing and trainers in readiness for the day ahead.
If you have any further questions, please ask a member of staff.
Many thanks for your ongoing support in your child’s learning.

A great day was had by Y6 as we visited Tropical World in Leeds to further develop our understanding of biomes and habitats. Children were surprised by the humidity within the centre which made us realise what the conditions would be like in the Amazon Rainforest. Fortunately, the weather was on our side and we were also able to explore parts of Roundhay Park; taking part in a workshop comparing this forest to a rainforest.
We’ve had lots more beautiful homework brought into school over the past week. The children love celebrating it and receiving HoWL points. It’s such a lovely part of our day!
