Improving a Christmas Story

I thought I was being kind and festive and wrote the children a Christmas story!  Unfortunately, it didn’t go down as well as I’d hoped. Apparently I’d made it tooooo boring (how rude I thought) and the children said they could do a better job!!! As much as it pains me to say, they did an amazing job at improving my story .

Where’s Santa Prepositions!!

The children loved this activity so much so we want to do it again!  They had to extend their sentences by using a range prepositions. We extended further by using conjunctions and adjectives. Well do e guys!

Writing cards to Bluebell Wood

Today the children learned how some families might not have the Christmas they deserve. But with the help of Bluevell Wood it can be made that little bit more special! So from class 9 we thank you for all your help over this festive season and all year through.  And to all we wish a very special Merry Christmas!!!

Class 9’s treat for all their hard work

As we are basing out school play this year on the Nativity film we all sat and watched it together with a cup of hot chocolate and cream!! Yum yum! They have all worked so hard a deserved every drop! Well done class 9.

The Christmas Story

Last week the children visited one of our local churches to learn about the Christmas story.  They got to look at and explore different ways in wish this story can be retold and presented as well as enjoying a little bit of Christmas craft.

Day 10!

Class 10 have been creating calendars for their loved ones today. I can’t wait to see the finished product!

Also a huge well done to our MMA super star Oliver who passed his grading at the weekend and is now yellow belt! £100 class cash to you little Richy!

Buddy the Elf

Class 11 have written some excellent character descriptions about our class Elf, Buddy! They have tried hard to include a range of conjunctions, fronted adverbials and expanded noun phrases. Well done guys, they were fab!
