This week in Nursery we have read the story ’Whatever Next’ by Jill Murphy. We have reenacted the story in provision of baby bear travelling to the moon and then today have had lots of fun creating a giant junk model rocket.

Happy 4th birthday to Ellie-Mai! Thank you for the chocolate cake! We had a lovely time sitting in the sunshine eating it together.
We have been looking at wheels, wings and other things in our Expedition sessions.
Today was wings and we were learning all about aeroplanes, we even made our own to see how far they would fly.
We managed to capture a few action shots!
Well done everyone 😊
We have had such fun this week in our maths sessions. We have been number hunting, practising our number bonds to 5 and making different shapes from squares.
Well done Reception Crew 😊
This week in phonics we are learning the sound /air/ as in hair.

We were very lucky to have Pastor Kevin come to share a story and some songs with us. The children really enjoyed it, we all had so much fun!
What a lovely afternoon.
Huge thanks to Pastor Kevin.
Reception and Nursery Team
Today in Nursery we have had so much fun playing and exploring our outdoor area. We are definitely enjoying the warmer weather.
I wonder… Can you write the letter i & p? Can you find anything around your house or garden which begins with the sound i or p?
Thank you Charlie and Freddie for being our phonics models!
We have had another wonderful afternoon in the sunshine with Nicky from Baby Bunnies. Well done to all of the children for taking part and putting in so much effort. I’m super proud of you all! Here are some photos of our children today…
This week in expedition we have been learning about sinking and floating. The children have loved playing with different water toys and looking at boats. Today we carried out a science experiment to see which objects would float and sink.
The children have had so much fun being scientists in Nursery.
