I can’t believe the amount of wonderful character spoons we had fetched into school as part of our World Book Day competition! The creativity and effort that has gone into each and every one is amazing!
The Learning Council judged the spoons this morning but it was such a hard choice that we have ended up with 8 winners instead of 4!

Wow! What a massive well done to the girls who participated in the football tournament over at XP as part of our Trust competitions. We did such a great job that we scored plenty of goals, didn’t concede and ended up winning the tournament overall.
The best thing was seeing the enjoyment of girls who have played together and those making their way into such a great game. Keep your eyes posted for more photos of the tournament from Mr Ambler!
A massive well done to the girls for being such super stars and to the adults for taking you to the tournament! Rest up and have a great weekend 🙂
Don’t forget that our KS1 and Y3/4 presentation of learning takes place on Friday 22nd March 4pm – 5pm. This is a combined event so if you have children in both phases, you can celebrate them both at the same time!

Just a reminder that PE is on a Monday and to wear suitable clothing for it. Green polo (white if not green) with a sensible warm jumper if required. Shorts or tracksuit bottoms and no football kits for PE.
We had a fantastic afternoon yesterday for our Y3/4 family learning event! We headed down to Thorne Park and completed an orienteering activity using our map skills as well as using our learning from this expedition to answer all of the questions!

Last week we had the most wonderful day exploring Yorkshire Wildlife Park! The sun was shining and we certainly got some steps in. Lots of fun for everyone and some beautiful animals.
we even got to attend a classroom session to learn more about Polar Bears and their fascinating habitat. So many gorgeous photos, it was hard to choose just a few!!
Year 3/4 family learning will be on Tuesday 27th February 2pm – 3pm. More details will follow but we hope you can join us in our learning!
We have had a beautiful after school club drawing polar bears. Elizabeth even linked hers to our class book, The Last Bear. We have all taken such pride in our work, I definitely think we have some budding artists among us. Well done year 3/4!
We have had 2 wonderful visitors this afternoon to read a story to our class for National Storytelling Week. Big thanks to Annabelle and Freya, Crew Good/Pearson loved hearing all about Freddie Mercury!
The children loved this! They were able to really apply themselves in their groups to support each other in various ways, reading, language, vocabulary and understanding. It was lovely to see and hear the focused discussions around the room! Not all beautiful work is written down! Amazing work everyone.
They compared population, education, agriculture, travel, geographical location, weather and climate! Ask them at home,.see what they can tell you about their discoveries!
