Thanks so much to all of the parents and carers for coming into our family learning today. It was amazing and the catapults look brilliant! Thank you x
Wow! This week we have completed lots of science and a variety of science investigations linking to our Expedition. I have been amazed by the collaboration and the learning by all the children – it’s been great to see everyone so engaged!
We’ve focussed on gravity, water resistance and air resistance and even used our English learning to help us write these up!
On November 1st it is National Authors Day!
With all of our hard work towards our Reading Library we’d like to know who your favourite authors are?
How could you celebrate your favourite author?
We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Have a lovely half term!
I’m so impressed with Crew Knowles’ engagement in reading lessons. Here we are during a vocabulary lesson finding the definition to words and improving our dictionary skills!
We had great fun at the disco tonight and I think it was the busiest tuck shop in history! The hot dogs went down a treat, as did Mr Kershaw’s music playlist!
Today we investigated water resistance and looked at how streamlining affects the amount of water resistance. We did this by creating 4 different shapes using play-doh and measuring the length of time it took for each shape to reach the bottom of the bottle! #OgdenTrust
We’ve had great fun in our science lessons recently building background knowledge and investigating different forces. Here we are investigating air resistance by making different sized parachutes and measuring the time it took for them to hit the ground. #OgdenTrust
The children (and staff!) had a fantastic time dancing their socks off at our Autumn disco this evening. There were some amazing costumes and everyone had so much fun. A huge thanks go to our wonderful PTA, Friends of Green Top for organising this, and many other fabulous events that raise so much money for our school. You ladies rock!
Apologies for the somewhat blurry photographs in the slideshow below…it was difficult trying to get the children to stay still for the pictures!
