Today, we have spent a lot of time completing our poems that will be used as part of our final product. The children have been editing and improving them before completing a final write up using their best handwriting and presentation!
Please remember to send your child with appropriate XP Outdoors kit suitable for the weather – especially now it is getting colder and wetter! Appropriate footwear is essential as the children spend time in the grassy XP Outdoors area.

Well done to Myles who has been winning trophies with his local football team. It’s great to see that he has been given the captain’s armband for his next game!
Well done to Phoenix who has been writing his own Blitz acrostic poem at home. Its great to see that he is carrying his school learning on at home. Super work!
Well done to our Y5&6 girls who won the tag rugby festival on Friday at Thornensians. Even though the girls have never played rugby before they played fantastic throughout the whole tournament and won every game they played. Well done girls!
This week, as part of reading week, Year 2 visited the library and braved the weather to have a good read. We loved being able to draw on book trees, read with our friends and listen to a good story. Some of us even helped library staff by keeping shelves tidy and scanning books. We loved our trip to the library and can’t wait to go again!
Today, Class 7, we have been learning about religion. We have learnt what religion is, as well as the 6 main religions. We then wanted to celebrate faith day by creating posters around religion!
A huge shout out to Erin, Paisley, Freya and Aurora who all scored full marks in our first weekly spelling check today and got to choose a treat from Miss Rodgers’ special prize box.
Great job girls! I wonder if any of the boys will score full marks next week?
