What a week! We’ve had an amazing time celebrating Christmas with the children! Here is a reminder of the plan for today:

• Green Top’s Christmas Jumper Day (non uniform)
• Carols around the Tree will take place at 1pm on the KS2 playground (near the gazebo – gates open at around 12:45).  Children can be collected from their usual doors following the carols
• Carols around the tree letter: https://greentopschool.co.uk/carols-around-the-tree-2024/ 
• The ‘Friend’s of Green Top’ will be selling refreshments at Carols around the tree and selling anything they may have left following the Christmas Fayre on Wednesday.
• NO CLUBS – School closes for Christmas at 3pm

Christmas Tuck Shop and Christmas pocket money toys (low stock left)

Mrs Fitzpatrick will be selling her Christmas sweet treats Thursday and Friday.  She will go round classrooms each day for the children to purchase cones and Christmas bags.  Prices are from £1 to £3.50

Also, depending on what is left following the Christmas Fayre she will also be selling the Christmas stocking fillers.  Prices for these range from 50p upwards

Crew Council at Green Top are tackling an ongoing issue with parking around the school! They got together and made this video to make a stand for better parking in the community. Their message is clear – park smart, stay safe, walk more! You can watch their activism here…

Thursday – Christmas Movie Day

• Today is our Christmas movie day!  Children will be watching a movie and taking part in a whole school Christmas movie quiz.  They will also be having snacks left over from their party food donations
• Children are also invited to wear their pyjamas for our movie day
• We will be provided hot chocolate and cookies for the children to enjoy

Just a few reminders for today:

Wednesday – Christmas Party Day

• Children can come in non uniform – please make sure this is appropriate for school, breaktimes and the weather
• You are more than welcome to send party food into school from Monday
• It is Christmas Dinner Day too!
• Santa will be visiting and bringing gifts for all of the children 

Wednesday – Christmas Fayre

• Our Christmas Fayre starts at 2:30pm until 4:30pm. Due to the event being held in the hall and how busy it becomes, we are going to stagger pick up times slightly.  However, if you have children in different phases, you can collect as normal at 3pm.

• Nursery and reception can be collected from 2:30
• KS1 can be collected from 2:45
• Years 3, 4, 5, 6 can be collected at 3pm as normal

Please remember to book a place on a club if needed!

Guess the name of the reindeer (Y6 fundraising) 

The Y6 children will continue to run their ‘Guess the name of the reindeer’.

Raffle

Raffle tickets are currently on sale, your child should have taken a strip home this week.  Please return tickets with the money before Thursday as the raffle will be drawn on Thursday afternoon.  You can purchase additional tickets at the Christmas Fayre on Wednesday.  Tickets are 50p each!
