Wow! Wow! Wow! You do not want to miss out on this fabulous academic diary, jam-packed with craft ideas and important information all about staying fit and healthy! These diaries were designed and curated by the children in Year 3 and 4 as part of their Spring expedition product and we think they look amazing.
Diaries will be available to purchase in person tomorrow at our End of Year Picnic, or you can pre-order by paying with your class teacher in the morning. Each diary is priced at £5.00 with all proceeds going towards supporting events and projects in school next year.
Thank you, the LKS2 team and children x
Crew Walton are preparing to move on to Year 6 by graduating! Sadly, a couple of special faces are missing, but we continue to be Crew!
Recently, we captured a truly heartwarming moment with a drone photo that brought our whole school community together—from our smallest nursery children to our Year 6 leaders. In a striking display of unity and creativity, the children formed the word ‘Compassion’ on the school field, one of our core Character Traits. Seeing every child take part in spelling out such a powerful value was a moving reminder of the spirit that runs through our school: kindness, empathy, and care for others. The aerial shot not only showcases our pupils’ teamwork but also reflects the compassionate culture we nurture every day.
Yesterday I worked with children from year 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 to see who could work together to build the strongest bridge out of art straws. It was lots of fun seeing the children mix with different people but I also loved us testing the bridges out at the end! Great work everyone who came to my room!
We had a go at making bridges and then tested them!
It was lovely to spend time with some of the children from other year groups today as we came together as a team to meet Mr Mumby’s bridge building challenge. We used art straws, tape, elastic bands and string to create bridges strong enough to hold a large can of beans. It was wonderful to see the children helping each other and working together to create the bridges, showing all of our character traits.
So proud of you all!
The children in Crew Rodgers were very happy to spend their attendance money at Mrs Fitz’s shop this afternoon.
Well done guys!
Wow – what a fabulous leavers treat we had today! The rain mostly stayed away from Bridlington and everyone had a great time on the beach – playing football, playing cricket, digging in the sand, burying each other (and Mr Kershaw!) and splashing in the sea. It is clear our children do not understand ‘only paddle’ and as you will see on the photos below they got VERY VERY wet! Apologies for the amount of sand and sea water they brought home in their bags and on their clothes but they were having too much fun to stop them!!!
Thank you to everyone who supported Y6 fundraising this year – the fish and chips were amazing and the ice creams were delicious! No better way to start the leavers celebrations this week especially after their hard work all year was rewarded with excellent SATs results last week.
Thank you for all being amazing year 6.
From the Year 6 Staff Team x
What a very warm but absolutely lovely day at the festival. It was wonderful to watch the year 4 children performing their dance routine which they only actually had 5 sessions to learn and master before the festival. Great courage and talent on display, well.dome to all involved.
