Class 14: Christmas around the world

On Wednesday, we research how Christmas is celebrated around the world and found out some unusual traditions. Did you know that in Japan they have KFC for Christmas dinner? Or, that in Brazil they leave their shoes outside on Christmas eve?

Y3/4 Christmas Costumes

Thank you to those that have fetched their costumes in to school so we can start to get prepared. If you haven’t already, please can you think about sending your child’s costume in this week so we can practise dress rehearsals etc.

Don’t forget that there is a limited amount of costumes in school that we can use so please speak to teacher’s if needed.

We are looking forward to sharing our Christmas production with you on Tuesday 13th December!

Thanks

Some more wonderful achievements to celebrate last week in our community meeting. It was wonderful to see so many children with shoutouts for their kindness, some awesome reading certificates, Crew Shaw with the best attendance and our FANTASTIC out of this world achievers. We can’t wait for after the Christmas holidays to continue celebrating our amazing KS1 children!

Keep up all the hard work!

Wow! Well what an awesome turn out! A huge shout out and thank you to all of the children that came along to sing as part of the choir on Friday night. It was great to see you all in the festive spirit and singing together – I don’t think I’ve ever seen Thorne as busy!

I can’t wait to see lots of faces at the Moorends Christmas Light Switch on this Thursday!
