Class 10: X-ray art work!

On Friday class 10 had a sneaky peek into their upcoming biology learning! We started by looking at some interesting facts about our hands and feet and the bones that make them up. They then set off on a tricky task of making some x-ray art using chalk, cotton buds and art straws! They all turned out brilliantly – well done all!

I wonder… ask your child about the names of some of the bones and see if they can remember them.

Class 7 Kixx

We had a fantastic first session of Kixx football skills this afternoon. Coach Kyle took us through our paces and we dazzled him with how good we already are at dribbling, shooting and controlling the ball.

We can’t wait for next week.

Please remember to send in outdoor PE kit for next Monday’s session.

Terrific Teeth!

Later on in our expedition we will be looking at teeth so during Hook Week, we created some nice fluffy ones that can be hung in our classroom to add to our environment!

New Expedition text

Today we started our new text, which is about a variety of animals who love music and decide they want to be the best orchestra in the world.

After reading the book, the children sorted instruments into string, wind and percussion. They then created their own story maps using time connectives to retell the story. I was so impressed with the outcome and their fantastic learning about music this week!

Well done class 9…so proud as always!

Crew Knowles: immersion

Today we were introduced to our second case study – biology! We are looking forward to building on our KS1 knowledge of plants and animals and learn some of the more in depth characteristics of plants. Today, we created some lovely pictures to help decorate our classroom!
