The Golden Mile

Thank you to everyone who donated! We will count up the money and let you know how much we raised after Easter!

Class 13 – Celebration of Learning 👏🏼

This afternoon, Class 13 were able to take part in their Celebration of Learning. Children were able to complete a number of different activities based on what we have been learning during this expedition, before finishing off with a Kahoot quiz. Well done to Andra, Chloe and family who were our winners today and a big thank you to all of those parents and carers who attended.

Class 15 – Aspirations Week!

So far this week, to celebrate aspirations, we’ve been very lucky to have some great visitors that have shared their skills and jobs. We’ve been visited by Sarah and Geoff who both work within the XP Trust and have very different job roles; Victoria from Body Rockers, James Fenwick who is a fire-fighter and Cameron Robertson who is a Hotel Director onboard cruise ships. The children loved learning about each person and asked some great questions – thank you so much to you all!

Also this week, we’ve completed our XP Outdoors Crew task and used leaf printing to create a Crew banner. We’re looking forward to hanging it in our Crew Room after the Easter holidays.

Tomorrow’s Easter Fayre

As you know, ‘The Friends of Green Top’ (with the support of some of our ‘School Council’ members) will host our Easter Fayre tomorrow.  Children can be collected from 1:30pm at their usual doors and the Easter Fayre will run 1:30 – 3:30 on the KS2 playground.  If the weather doesn’t support our event, it will be held indoors. The raffle will be drawn at 3:20pm! Please remember all children should be collected by 3pm as clubs and sunset finish today (Thursday 30th March).

Look at some of the wonderful raffle prizes that have been delivered ready for tomorrow!

A great year 2 aspirations visitor

The children have been learning all about people who inspire them and attributes that they aspire to have in the future. They absolutely loved having our 4 legged visitor this week and this got them thinking about jobs that involve animals!

Thank you so much to all of our adults that have come to talk to the children this week and inspire them 🥰

We appreciate you so much!

year 2 celebration of learning success

Thank you so much to all of the parents and carers that came today to celebrate by doing some of the learning that the children have done this term. This was a fantastic way of children recalling their knowledge from the term and having the chance to share what they have learnt and enjoyed doing.

we really hope that you enjoyed it as much as the staff and children did. We loved seeing the children interacting with the adults and talking confidently about their learning.

Thank you for always supporting us and we hope to see you in school again soon

More visitors for Year 3!

As part of Aspirations Week, Year 3 have had some more visitors helping us to think about what we would like to be when we are older. We had Victoria from a local dance school, showing off the dances from her groups and the amazing trophies they have won. Then we had Geoff who was instantly recognised as the ’drone man’, visiting from XP. He explained how he loves to work with the schools within the Trust and share the stories from our beautiful work!

Thanks for coming in and answering our questions! 😆
