Crew Spetch – Christingle 🍊
This morning, Jason, our Crew Councillor taught us all about Christingle. He showed lots of courage standing in front of the class to share his knowledge. A huge shout out to Toby too who knew lots about the religious tradition! We then made our own Christingle’s and they look fab!

Christingle
Class 8 have had a lovely morning learning about christingle and the meaning behind it. Well done everyone! 😊

Year 6 Harry Potter Studios Visit
Last week we had the most amazing day at Harry Potter Studios – exploring the set, seeing original props and costumes from the films and participating in interactive experiences. Beautiful Work This Week
Book launch on track!
Our latest Trust publication ‘Rail City’ was launched at the amazing Doncaster Gallery, Library and museum – DGLaM.
The book, an updated and lavishly illustrated compendium of all the work created by students across the Trust, over the last five years, captures our city’s rail heritage – and future.
It is also timely as 2023 is the Flying Scotsman’s Centenary year, the iconic steam engine built here in Doncaster.
Our thanks go to the team at DGLaM and the city council who have facilitated the launch and supported our work across the Trust.
‘Rail City’ will be on sale in DGLaM, the TIC and Waterstones in the Frenchgate Centre. The perfect present for anyone who loves rail, trains and local history. (You can also purchase the book from our online shop!)
Welcome Back!

We continue to welcome delegates from all over the world. Last week our friends and partners from the Wood Foundation in Scotland joined us once again with 25 teachers from schools in the Aberdeen area.
Over two days they looked at Crew, expeditions and the bigger picture of what we do and how we do it.
They even enjoyed a tour of our students’ work in the heart of Doncaster.
Last but not least as you can see from the photograph with their Crew they also joined in with our charity Christmas Jumper day!
A day of music for XP Doncaster Year 7!
Dave Evans ran a series of awesome workshops for our Year 7 students with professional musicians! Our students improvised, created digital beats, sang and played the drums!

Can you guess the name of our elves?
Our two gorgeous elves have forgotten their names – can you guess them? If you would like the chance to win, remember to bring in 50p to have a go at guessing. I can’t wait for our elves to have new homes before Christmas. There are still some names left – Good luck everyone!

Class 8’s visit to Parklands care home

Thank you so much to Parklands for letting class 8 return and see the residents there again. We loved making them cards and talking to them. We also sang our Christmas nativity songs as well as some classics like Rudolph the red nose reindeer and jingle bells! The children loved it and had huge smiles on their faces throughout…what a magical experience for the children and the residents. Well done class 8! X x
Class 7 Carol Singers
This afternoon, Year 2 have enjoyed visiting some of the local care homes in our community to sing Christmas carols and gift cards to the residents – what a fabulous festive activity. Well done everyone!
