We are still selling Poppies this week up to Friday afternoon, please see the price lists in corridors and classrooms. Items from 50p to a £1 and any donation will get you a poppy.
On the 11th November it is ‘Remembrance Day’ everyone is invited to the park to join in and watch the service there. Year 3/4 school council will be asked to represent Green Top and lay our school wreath at the cenotaph.
The 12th-16th of November is Anti-Bullying Week to help support this we are participating in ‘Odd Socks Day’. This will be discuss further in classes.
It is also Children in Need next week so on the 16th November we will be doing our annual ‘Wear Something Spotty’ day where it will be a £1 to participate. All money raised will go to the Children in Need charity.
Update – Lucas managed to raise an amazing £52.36p for the British heart foundation. Well done Kiddo! A big thank you to all who donated and bought the delicious buns to support a fantastic charity.

Next week – Thursday 18th is our half term disco. Tickets will be on sale in classrooms and available from your class councillors 50p a ticket.
Also next week (from Wednesday) and the week after half term we will be selling poppies and other items to raise money for and support the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. Posters will go up to show available items and prices and will be brought around to classes for sale in the afternoons.
Lucas worked so hard at the weekend baking lots of delicious buns and cakes, so delicious that his little stall was a sell out. He wanted to do the charity cake sale to raise money for the British Heart Foundation. Stay tuned for the final total!
It’s official the School Councillors have been voted by members of their class and we have started our new school year! It was lovely to see you all at our first meeting and great to see so much enthusiasm and hear some of your ideas already!
