Today the children have listened to the story of Cinderella to start and inspire our Expedition learning. The children have been Motivated Moes and decided to create paper doll princess and princess crowns. The children enjoyed decorating the crowns using glitter, crape paper and sequins.
The children had a wonderful afternoon with Mr Kershaw who came to teach physical skills with the Comando Joe resources. The children loved completing the obstacle course with good coordination, balance and negotiating be equipment with the other children.
This week we are focusing on letters x, y and z.
Encourage your child to spot these letters in books and in their environment. Can they say the letter name and phonetic sound? Can they write the grapheme?
Nursery Family Learning will be held on Wednesday 30th April 8.30am – 9.30am in the form of a ‘book and a biscuit’ event. We will also be hosting a used toy and book sale to raise money for EYFS funds and our expedition projects. Please bring loose change. All books and toys will be priced between 50p – £5. We have had some wonderful donations so be sure to grab a bargain!
We hope you can make it to spend some quality reading time with your child.

Thank you to Pastor Kevin who came to visit us today to share the story of Easter and sing some lovely songs.
On Monday, Mr Kershaw came for some XP Outdoors fun with the children. He made the most of the fine weather and played ‘What time is it Mr Wolf?’, ‘Duck, Duck, Goose’, ‘hide and seek’, T-Rex hunt and reenacted the story of ‘We’re going on a bear hunt’. The Nursery children had so much fun and can’t wait for some more time with Mr Kershaw next Monday!
What a gorgeous start back in Nursery this week kick starting the Summer Term with some wonderful collaborative play, potato printing, dressing up, story reading, hot cross bun tasting, reading and talking about the Easter story and so much more…
The children loved making Easter nest buns yesterday. We talked about the ingredients we used and how they changed from being a solid to a liquid during the melting process. The children chose their own bun case and mini egg colour to make them unique to them. I hope everyone enjoyed eating them. They looked and smelt delicious!
